G'day!

This is my official introduction, and I'm pleased to be part of this cool forum. I have looked at this casually for a while and thought it high time I joined.

Until very recently I was a Mosrite owner - I had a Mark II Japanese made Mosrite which I bought in Tokyo when I was living there 10 years ago. I was actually looking to buy a Mark I at the time and came across this Mark II for a very cheap price and so purchased that instead. I used it to jam and gig with there, and absolutely loved the guitar, but really the surf sound is what I most love about the Mark I, so I have sold the Mark II to put towards a Mark I.

I know a little about the Japanese Mosrites - I took a couple of trips to the small Fillmore shop in Mitaka, Tokyo, to ogle their range and think long and hard about buying one. The owners were absolute Mosrite nuts and we had some very animated and entertaining conversations about guitars, Johnny Ramone, Mosrite etc.

I live in Perth, Western Australia, and I don't ever recall seeing a Mosrite here.

Anyway, I'm glad I'm here and I'm looking forward to getting involved.

Thanks for the welcome gents.
John, as it happens, I am currently in negotiations with a guy to buy his Grandfather's '66 Sunburst Mark I. I may need some assistance from the experts I see in the forum, so I might post something soon on that subject.
