Hello from Maryland

Postby palmerstan » Sun Apr 01, 2012 3:15 pm

Hello,

My name is Stan Palmer and I purchased a Mosrite Bass in the late 70s as a Senior in High School. I still own it (Serial Number: AB00057) and it is all original. I am interested in restoring the finish on the body as it has a few chips and the finish is cracked with age.

I look forward to learning and interacting with others interested in the vintage Mosrite line.

Welcome to the forum, Stan!
You have come to the "Rite"place. :)
This is a great place for all things Mosrite (and more).

Glad to have another fellow Mosrite aficionado from the Delmarva area!

Welcome Stan. Keeping an original finish is highly preferable but when it's that bad... :?
Post some pics if you can and you'll get some reactions, for sure.

Hi Jim, nice to know you. Hallmark is here in MD. too.

We can help you with your restoration if need be.

I do agree, an original finish is more desirable to the collector, but some of these are way beyond what some would consider collectable condition.

Cheers!

Bob

Welcome! I'm the kind of guy who just likes good guitars, and if they're collectibles, that's a minor bonus. For that reason, I tend to do whatever maintenance is required to keep them playing and looking their best... Priorities, as always! ;)
