Hi, My name is Mark from the UK where anything Mosrite seems impossible to find. I am trying to put together a Ricky Wilson B52s guitar for a few reasons, 1. i have always wanted to build a guitar 2. I cannot afford a real one or a copy 3. I would like to recreate the Mosrite B52s sound.

I do know know a lot but I am willing to learn so any help / information offered woukd be really appreciated. I think the model I am looking at is Mk IV or V 1966 model or a Ventures II. Someone please correct me if i am wrong.

Cheers

Hi Mark , you came to the right place ... there's some good B52 related posts archived on here mate .. and welcome to the 'Mosrite I would love to own' club .. there's loads of options for would be Mossy owners , all the way from guitars that just look like Mosrites ,through ones that play and sound like Mosrites, to actual arm and a leg costing replica ones ... and then there's the actual rare vintage ones .... ( the ones we dream of owning ).

Good to see another UK based Mosrite fan :-) ..

Cheers juan

Okay, Dennis. I give up. I have been trying to figure out what a Meng is for months now and I am clueless. Can someone put me out of my misery and tell me what the heck that is? Thank you!! :)

There are many definitions for the expression "Meng."
- short for Spanish Latino Man.....very popular down here in the South Florida area.
- another could be the Masters of Engineering Degree (though I don't think your friends
would talk about that on facebook down here  )........... ;)

Dennis, I thought you were talking about the old Flash Gordon villain, Ming, the Merciless.

And I should be permitted in your Florida poll, Dennis, since I grew up in Fernandina Beach and then Naples. And lived for a while in Marathon. And Apalachicola. And Callahan. And Tampa. And went to college in Boca Raton.
