Hello everyone

Postby Catchmee » Mon Sep 12, 2011 4:56 am

Hello everyone, my name is Alan and I'm from Toronto, Ontario. I'm 48 and play in a couple of instro/surf bands. I'm lucky to have in my collection of guitars 2 Hallmark Stradettes ( 1 custom set-neck and a black vintage model with custom wound pickups with less windings) a 40th anniversary Aria Ventures model which was signed by the group, and a Bill Nash T-52 telecaster. I play through a Fender Deluxe and use a Keeley compressor and a amtech age-one echo unit. I am proud and look forward to being a member of this elite group.

Welsom, Alan. Gotta love those Hallmarks! I have 3, and looking forward to getting a Deke model at some point. Enjoy the forum.

And a welcome from yet another satisfied Hallmark customer. Sounds like you have great gear there, Alan! Are Amtech echo boxes common in your area? They're great and I like the "tripping / waterfall echo" setting especially. I would like the sustain to be a bit longer, though. A few years back I pulled the trigger on an Amtech AGE PRO after failing to find an "Atlantis" echo box which I would've preferred instead but they were already out of production when I was on the hunt for one. The Amtech doesn't come cheap and enjoys only a small niche in the market, overhere. I'd better stop rambling...
