Bonjour Mein Hombres

I'm Van Serpico of The Malamondos. My Mosrite fixation began when we recorded our first album. We recorded at the Kudzu Ranch, owned and operated by Rick Miller of Southern Culture on the Skids. When it came time to do guitar overdubs, Rick suggested I try some of his guitars. Among them were a couple of Mosrites, and I immediately fell in love.
When the session for that album ended, Rick let me play his Hallmark Swept Wing, which started THAT obsession as well!
Right now I sadly only own one original Mosrite, but I'm actively working to correct the situation. My Hallmark situation is thankfully more flush!

Welcome to the forum, Van ... but be warned. When I joined I had one Firstman Mosrite - I now have 3 Mosrite originals, 1 PartsRite Nokie model, 3 Hallmarks, and 4 assorted MIJ Mosrites (KuroKumo, Fillmore, etc.), and 2 more I'm building. It is HIGHLY addictive ...

Well, the Hallmarks I'm pretty covered on...I gots me the hookup. My budget will keep the rest in check! One good classic Ventures to go along with my Celeb and I'll be good to go I think. I tend to think in terms of "will be I be afraid to play this out?" and if so I won't buy it. I'd hate to ruin a good model, and between sweat and blood and the occasional thrown beer, I'd be nervous!
But I sure do love `em.
We've found a great blend of recording at the Kudzu Ranch with Matt Verta-Ray from Heavy Trash producing, so we'll always have access to Rick's stuff.
Famous last words, right?

Nice to see you on the forum here Van! You will like chatting with all the good folks here.
By the way, Van has more Hallmarks than anyone should be allowed.
