Hello All,
Its the 48 year old thatguyfromIpanema newbee here seeking only knowledge.
I come from a galaxy far far away...... and while traveling this vast universe (the web) I stumbled upon great wisdom on this forum and wish to enlighten my horizons. In my efforts to identify an old guitar left behind by my father I've found myself on a "Hero's Journey" for the truth..... Let it be clear, however, that I do not nor have I ever played ( with any proficiency that is ) the guitar. I am by nature a drummer :o Yes I know, but with your forgiveness and your vast knowledge I may be able to complete my journey. So what say you Mr. D Ellison? I promise to be respectful and coachable. My subject matter involves your beloved Mr Mosrite indirectly though, as he was indirectly involved with the man of my search, Mr Paul Barth. As I stated before I know nothing of guitars, but, I'm learning quickly there are just some questions you don't ask in certain forums..... and I'm confused and wondering perhaps if I ask these questions in an unbiased forum that you all could shed some light on proper etiquette. My wish is not to cast aspersions or judgements upon any one individual or groups of individuals or any specific FORUMS. However, as I stated before I am a drummer and as chance would have it, I unknowingly committed Hari-kari by asking "the question" on THAT forum. A question that would have no sentimental relevance in this forum...I'm hoping. I'm just a regular guy seeking to ID an old guitar and to uncover any possible value it may have..... simply put. I leave it to you all good people. Have a great day!

Welcome to the forum. I do hope you find the information you are seeking. Of course, the first order of business will be to show us the guitar you are talking about. Here is a link of how to post photos on this forum: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=53

I know you are a drummer, but hey, one of our greatest Mosrite enthusiasts is a fellow drummer (Bakeoboy of this forum).

Hello and Thank you Sarah

I'm slow.... so I'll need a day or so to acquaint myself with the navigation systems of this forum. Please forgive the future attempts at getting it "right" as only God knows where my posts and pic's will end up at first. Thank you as well for the "How To" on photo posting, very helpful, talk to you all shortly.

Welcome to the forum. If it wasn't for my long-time friend and drummer, I would not be playing my guitar in a band right now. :o
[whisper] Oh, and I don't dare tell him any 'drummer jokes', though!
Cool intro, Ipanema, good luck in your search and enjoy the forum ;)

Welcome to the forum man, I'm new as well...and I'm also a drummer! I've been playing guitar for the same amount of time though roughly. Good luck ID'ing that guitar. :)
