My name is Dan, I go by Panther.
A friend of mine recently let me barrow his rather road worn Mosrite Dobro. I immediately fell in love with it and wanted one. The only one on Ebay was going for $2195.00. I tried to make a deal with the guy for payments, he agreed but wanted a large portion immediately, which I could not come up with.
Anyhow I asked my friend if he would consider selling me his Dobro. I offered him $1000.00 as it needed the electronics restored and a few other issues. To make a long story short, he said he would take $900.00. I now own the Mostrite below. The photo is AFTER I replaced the missing electronics , knobs etc. and cleaned it up a lot.
I am now a full blown Mosriteaholic.
OOPs don't know how to attach a photo. It appears I need a host to post a photo.
I think I got the photo thing.

Welcome to the forum! That is a beautiful Dobro and you got a great deal on it. How do you like it? I've never had the chance to play one or hear one and would love some input on what it sounds like, etc. Also, I'd love to have photos of yours as well as the serial number for my Registry page. You can PM me or contact me directly through my website.

Congratulations!

You all have a good discussion going, but unfortunately it will soon be lost here in the introduction forum. Plus a lot of folks never visit this section when perusing the forums. I have separated it from the original introduction and moved the detailed discussion to the proper section under the title, Mosrite Dobro
