Primarily vintage Teles, and Les Pauls but I appreciate anything with a good feel to it. Oh and a good antique stank to it but I'll be the first to admit the smell of aged nitro gets me goin' lol. My penchant is more for cool pedals, boutique type stuff. I just like off color, odd stuff. I'm more of a metal guy, playing wise, but I have a hidden need for cool, odd stuff. Mosrites seem to fit that category but I don't know much about them. They just seem a little odd, but not in a bad way.

Welcome to the forum Killdozer ... hope you enjoy things here. I think there surely is something going on with the Mosrite guitar.
The 'Built in Soul' puff , is catchy in itself, but i think there's some truth to it.
And then there's the shape.

You mentioned a smell!

I also think old guitars often have a certain smell that gets me going!

Hey Killdozer, the first time ever I saw a picture of a Ventures Model Mosrite (on a Ventures vinyl album during the mid sixties) I very much considered it as being an odd shape, well...considering Fender had been the norm in my teen days. Funny thing is, it grew on me and 40 odd years on, my need for one really became chronic and I had yet to discover that a Mosrite guitar is not an object to get hold of easily. A Hallmark 60 Custom remedied the fever considerably though! Welcome to the Forum ;)

Oh boy, talking of smells, I really am a sucker for the smell of vintage cars, but that's another topic! :D
