Hello folks! I've joined your forum due to a Mosrite-inspired double-neck build recently showcased by my friend Hardprom. Another member, bluebill and hardprom are great friends of mine, and have convinced me to join your pages. As stated elsewhere, the three of us are working on a double-neck project together. bluebill and I are also working on a pair of "sister" Les Paul Specials, and I recently completed a replica 1958 Rickenbacker 325..

Best regards to all,

Dave

Welcome to the forum.

Be sure and check out the many custom builds in the Projects section of this site. No doubt you'll find some useful if not entertaining information.

Welcome, Dave. Sounds like you guys are having fun ... Just don't show that Ric anywhere the "Ric" police can nab you. I understand they're pretty much sticklers about their products being copied. Would love to see pix of the Pauls!

There he is...and take it from me, the "Davenbacker" is a real beauty.

Good to see you here, Dave.

Dubtrub, Gattonfan, thanks for the welcome!

Gattonfan, I'm not too worried about JH and the ric police, this was a "one-off" guitar and not for sale.

Besides, I intend to stay with the theme of this board, and stick to things "Mosrite". I'm a 5 year member of another forum that JH's minions patrol with regularity, and we haven't had any trouble yet. (knock on wood here).

But thanks for the heads-up and the lookin' out!

Dave

Since Dave's kind of modest, I'll have to be the one to share a couple of photos of his "Davenbacker"...

That "Davenbacher" is a 22 inch scale neck. It made a big difference in fingering and is as comfortable as it gets. Dave spent many a day working to get it right and last week I had the chance to hold and play her. What a beauty.
The LP's will be double cut 1960 style specials that is for another internet friend of ours. If interested I will post pics as we go.
We three teamed up to do the Wallace doubleneck in the style of the Mosrite but the feel of a Ric. Hardprom and Dave are some of the best folks out there to work on the build. Prom works on the drawings and specifications, I'm the wood butcher and Dave is the finisher. Bear in mind there are other folks helping with tips and information. One is in Portland so basically we have a true West Coast build. Idaho, Washington, Oregon and California.

Welcome Dave and thank you -and your (building) buddies- for enriching the board by sharing what you've got going, Mosrite- and otherwise wise.
That Davenbacher is stunningly beautiful. BTW, Rickenbacher is "Mosrite friendly" too! :P
