Hey,
New here -- loving the old Fuzzrite. I have a 68 Si Mosrite and a 67 Guild Foxey Lady.
The guitars look cool but never played one. Hope to find more info here...

Yes that's my Fuzzrite -- 1968 Silicon, w/ the paper phenolic circuit board and is one of my favourites.
My other one is a Guild Foxey Lady from the 60s but with the Sprague module. Also awesome, but different.

(The background is some pics of the Taung child, Australopithecus africanus, from the book From Lucy to Language by Donald Johanson -- I'm a bit of an armchair palaeoanthropologist -- I thought the unearthing of wonderful secrets was somewhat appropriate for this pedal as it took me years to find one).

Welcome to the forum. I think the photo above is quite appropriate - there are mysteries and missing links in the Mosrite story, and this forum is something like Olduvai Gorge, where the pieces of evidence that emerge can lead to the full story. (I studied geology, though mainly focused on paleoclimatology)

So, should we declare the genus and species of Mosrite fuzz to be Fuzzritus Siliconis? The others could be Fuzzritus Germainis and Fuzzritus Spraquenis.

Excellent picture - welcome to the forum! You're lucky to have an original Fuzzrite. There are some great repros out there, but nothing beats the real thing (especially if you're a Davie Allan fan like me).
