hi everyone

Postby juan_10 » Fri Sep 25, 2009 7:30 pm

Hi there , I'm an old codger , one of the '49 ers .. I'm on the East Coast of the Uk about half way up.
Thanks to this forum I am now the owner of a Mosrite Ranger '66 reissue ( chinese stylee) ... my first NGD for ten years.
The one before this was an Ibanez John Schofield arch top .. from a guitar shop in Grimsby , just over the river from Hull.
Then we'd have to go back to '77 and a shop on Denmark Street in London for my hard tail strat.
So this is my first guitar with a tremelo .. I feel I can handle it now :-) So I don't buy guitars that often .. the new one is a beauty though.

Phew , well i'm just coming out the 'other side' of this swine flu thing , at least my hearing is starting to return to normal ,
I hate those spurious harmonics you get with flu .. all music sounds so odd. Brain not quite as full of cotton wool as before ..
been coughing so much my back is in real bad shape now .. but there's light at the end of the tunnel .

Probably waffle more when it isn't such an effort to string more than three coherent thoughts together ...
One morning soon I will wake up feeling OK again .. hang on to that thought. jv

Hey juan_10, your intro went well!
Welcome aboard, I'm sure there's a place unoccupied in the sick bay quarters here... (just kidding)

Congrats on your new '66 Mo'. Meantime, get well soon and we'll talk later, as you say ;)

Welcome the forum Juan. Sounds like your really had a bad case of it. Glad your on the mend. Congrats on the new Mosrite Ranger. Chinese style? What's that? I thought all Rangers were made by Fillmore in Japan, or are they being farmed out to China for manufacture.? I've check out the Mosrite Rangers and they are a premium made guitar.

Old codger eh? Don't forget to participate in our demographic poll at the top of each forum. ;)
