Hey Sixstringer, welcome on board this ship with a majority of sixstring sailors here. It's a good thing we have a lower end representation too or we'd be musically rather lonely ;)
Thanks for showing us your beautiful Sunbursts already. Wow, not one but two originals :o Enjoy your stay.

Thanks everybody. As far as storys behind them, not really a lot to tell....the '71 I picked up at a guitar show in Spartanburg, SC last year. The pots are dated '71, but it could possibly be a '72, I never had the neck off of it to check. The 65 was advertised online about 3 hours from here near Florence, SC, and I drove down and bought it from a private owner. Been wanting a Mosrite for years, finally took the plunge and bought these two. The 71 has no issues whatsoever except 1 small crack in the fingerboard binding. The 65 had 2 frets missing near the neck joint, if you look at that picture you can see it. It also had some fingerboard lift and a crack in the fingerboard right there where the frets were taken out, I imagine that's why they took them out. I had my local guitar guy fix it since, he did a great job, and you can't even tell there was any work done. Otherwise, it is in fantastic shape for how old it is. The woman I bought it from said it was her deceased father's guitar, and she believes he bought it new. Both guitars are all original, except for the 2 replaced frets and fingerboard repair on the 65. The band I'm in plays a lot of surf instumentals, and about 80 percent of everything clean, so they work out great, been after that sound for years.
