New member from the Great State of Texas

Greetings to all the Mosrite fans around the world! I have been a Mosrite fan since 1965 and presently have 5 Mosrites; 2 original 1968 Mark 1s, a Original Joe Maphis Model 1, a Mosrite Original Vibramute built by Dana Moseley , and a Ventures model Japanese Excellent with Ventures logo. As you may have guessed, I am not a young guy and have been collecting guitars for many years. In 1980, I met Semie Moseley and was able to have a great conversation with him about his wonderful instruments. I bought my Mosrite Original(a blue sparkle finish serial No. 001) directly from Dana Moseley last year and have had the pleasure of speaking to her on the phone. What a wonderful person she is. I have studied the web and other sources about the Mosrites. In fact, that is how I found this forum and I find the forum a great resource of varying knowledge. Would it not be great to travel back in time and sit down with Semie at dinner and just chat about his marvelous contribution to music. Well back to me--I live in the Dallas Fort Worth area and am not currently playing in a band. The prospect of playing in a band may be in the future after I retire. I presently am semi-retired working part time and full retirement is just around the corner. I enjoy throwing a CD on, in my home studio, and learning new material. I like country, surf, 60's and 70's rock, acoustic folk, and some religious music. Oh yes-- I am also a big fan of chic-chi. She is a wonderfully talented young Japanese girl that plays nothing but surf music. Look her up on "You Tube". You will be amazed. She does some of the Ventures songs better than the Ventures! Anyway, great to be a member!!!

Welcome to the Forum, MosDan! I'm sure others will chime in, but whenever you can, we'd love to see some pix of your Mosrites. Sounds like you have a nice collection going there ...

Welcome MosDan. When you get a chance, be sure to fill in your 'Profile' section. It makes it a lot easier to
'look to the left' to see where a Member is from than to go check all the postings from that Member .......

Thanks for the welcome. At the present time I don't have any photos except for individuals that I took for insurance purposes. In the short future I will be doing a group phto of all of them together and will post the photo on the forum. Being a new member I will have to figure out how to post a picture on the forum. Any help here would be appreciated.
