Hey man, nice compliment...thanks
So how do you like the Hallmark? I've had a chance to check them out and they look like great guitars.[/quote]
It basically replaced by 6120 Gretsch as my main guitar for my main band, I use the Gretsch in my cover band. The neck of the Hallmark is more comfortable for me, kind of like the neck of a 52 Tele RI with vintage frets. I have played a few vintage Mosrites and I find the necks way to thin, just couldn't get use to it. The trem on the Hallmark is smooth and after a good stretching of the strings it does not give me any tuning problems but I do use 10-52 gauge strings on my guitars with a trem so that may have something to do with it. You are already familiar with Mosrite pickups, the ones that are stock on the Hallmark are about the same soundwise. You can get the hand wound ones for an up charge. I tend to use fuzz and high gain distotion so the pick ups do buzz but it is nothing an ISP Decimator or a EHX HumDebugger can't fix.
Bob Shade is very easy to work with and responds to e-mails quickly, plus he ships very fast. I ordered mine on a Wednesday and got it on Friday. It was set up perfectly right out of the box. I think you will be satisfied.
