Andy,

Kick your feet up, and yes, the more 'you do,' the easier it gets, and not all of us are there yet either, so don't feel like you are alone.

howdy there andy,
indeed, welcome to the forum. i too am excited to read your posts and hear your input. i spoke with mark about a week or so ago when he was at the studio and he said that the three of us should get together at some point and talk about the mosrite records label in person. i'm not sure if he's had a chance to talk with you yet about the project, but i'd be mighty honored to make the trip. I'm just over here in bloomington, in and can drive over to tn anytime you can spare 30 minutes. i'd love to share my research with you and fill in some of these gaps i have in the mosrite records story...

i wish you well and look forward to your participation on the forum... MOSRITE FOREVER!

Hello all!

My name is Lloyd. I'm very glad I found this forum and it is n honor to follow Andy Moseley.

Back in the late 70's I went to UGA in Athens, GA. I was a big fan of surf rock (still am). Back then we used to go to dance parties and inevitably one would run into many of musicians from that scene, including guitarists like Pete Buck (REM), Randy Bewley (Pylon), Marc Cline and Mike Richmond (Love Tractor) and Ricky Wilson (B52s) and other great bands. Ricky Wilson, especially, had an exciting and driving technique. I was hooked.

The first Mosrite I acquired was from a Pawnshop in Marietta, GA. I bought it in 1977 for $200. My mom helped me buy it and thought I was crazy to want this this old guitar so much. I knew it was special ... a 12 string Sunburst, serial number T613.

It's missing an original p/u. When I bought it, someone had stuck a cheap looking humbucker on there. Switch is missing too. Of course I would love to restore this with original items. If you know of any that can match theses items to this guitar, I would greatly appreciate your input. I have also tried to research this guitar's year and the best I can come up with is sometime after the Venture license expired, so my guess is sometimes in the late 60's.

Haven't had the time to check in here for a few weeks and look who showed up  Welcome Andy! Hope you'll be inspired to share some historical goodies with us.

Welcome to the forum Mr. Moseley. I would like to exceed my greatest thank you to you and your family (specially Semie) for the designing and building of the greatest guitars of all time. I'd love to pick your brain on every aspect of the design of these guitars. ;) ;) ;)
And Merry Christmas.
Cheers,
Aaron
