Another Venture in Waiting.

Welcome Don, I too remember getting that "Fantastic Ventures" album & drooling over the Mosrite on the back. Then I went down to Wallach's Music City in Phoenix (I guess about '65), and they had a whole rack of them, in every available color! I went nuts. Within a week or so, I had sold, begged, borrowed, and stole my way to accumulate the massive sum of $398.00 to buy one -sunburst, like on the album cover. Within 3 -4 years, I had become a huge Jimi Hendrix fan, and had to have a white Strat -so somehow the Mosrite went by the wayside, and for about the next 20 years, I pretty much forgot about the Ventures and Mosrite. Then, in the early 90's, I was at a guitar show in Pasadena, Ca., with my son. Lo & behold, another rack full of Mosrite Ventures models! The fever hit again. This time, I really went nuts. I already mentioned the 50 or so Mosrites I've owned since then, most of which have come & gone. Plus I have accumulated a collection of around 100 or so Ventures albums on vinyl, maybe 15 or 20 cd's, a few dvd's, and a bunch of video cassettes. Like you, and a few others on here, my main axe is now a recently acquired Hallmark Custom 60 (sunburst, of course).
