Like everyone else has stated; that is a honey of a score. Have you plugged it in yet?

Yes very nice! It makes me think of my seldom voiced but long held belief that the Combo is the pinnacle of the Mosrite line.. yes, I said it.. It can do all the things that a Ventures can do plus it has a whole pallet of tones that no other Mosrite can get..but then, I'm bias. Congrats and have fun with that beauty

Yes, but he also had an older Ventures model, which I think he used for parts. So the knobs could have come from it. Every where I have looked, the serial number is from '67. - H0649
I will be getting the Venture's model in about a week and I will post photo of it as well. It is in sad shape but I would like to restore it.

Thanks Dennis!

That is one CLEAN looking COMBO for a 43 year old piece! If the V & T knobs were never replaced, then I would say that this is a later '66 Combo, not a '67.
You see, in Jan-Feb of '67, Mosrite went to the TALLER KNOBS, and they no longer had the V or T on the knobs. What makes your COMBO Piece so unique, is that she came with the Original Case as well, and those particular Cases (as well as the Doubleneck cases) are impossible to find ;) .

p.s. BTW, BRUTUS is gonna freak when he sees that we have another Combo Owner on board  .

I love the tones this guitar gets. I have a little 5-watt Fender Champ tube amp and it sings. I've never played a more musical instrument. I haven't checked, but it sounds to me like the intonation is perfect. I love this guitar. It is truly a work of fine craftsmanship.

Thanks Brutus
