What a coincidence Nick, I myself have been planning to build guitars too! I'm thinking of making a Kay Vanguard styled guitar and I may add some Mosrite style to it, too. I still have some time before I start building any guitars though, I haven't finished reading my books about guitar repair and guitar building.

P.S. Have you seen the prices of Steinberger tuners? They're pretty expensive, What do I expect for the best tuners on the market though?
1966 Ventures II (German Carved, B670.)
1970s "Not a Blues Bender" Bodies: 2.
1976 Brass Rail Deluxe #10.
2013 Fender Pawn Shop Bass VI.

i've just been teaching myself as i go. there's so much info on these forums, and it's fun to make mistakes along the way so you can learn how to best correct them.

when i get back from asia, i'll post pics of my lapsteel build.
