Mosriteer and LoveyX were kind enough to share a few tips concerning my Combo/300, and now I hope I've been successful at posting some photos thereof. I was not able to find any date info on the neck, but the pots tell the tale: they're stamped "346647," indicating that they were produced in August of 1966, and leading me to believe that the guitar was likely made in late '66 or early '67. I recognize that this dating method isn't ironclad, since Semie was apparently known to sometimes build guitars out of whatever components were around the shop. But if the date is accurate, this would make it one of the earlier examples of the 300-series, which I understand were made between 1966 and 1969.
I'm hoping that some of you can give me an idea of about what its resale value might be, should I decide to go that way. In addition, I'd greatly enjoy any other random thoughts/observations/speculations that any of you may have about the guitar; I've discovered that this "forensic musicology" is very interesting and kinda fun.
Incidentally, the guitar sounds beautiful played through my original 1967 Fender Deluxe Reverb. I suspect the two are kindred spirits, having been born the same year.
Thanks again.

PJ,
You're welcome, happy to help. And that is one awesome 300 er Combo you have there! Thanks for posting the pics. A few years ago one was for sale locally for about $2500. I loved it but felt it was priced a bit high. But in upstate New York Mosrites are few and far between.

BR,
Please do not give up! I'm sure there are many besides me who would love to see pics of your collection. I know the picture posting process is not easy, but if I can do it, anyone can.
Thank you, lovey; kind of you to help. I'll get to the bottom of the photo uploading process and then, as Arnold said, "I'll Be Back."

Hi LoveyX...
Thanks for reposting the maze for posting pics...I have been successful a couple of times in doing this properly. But I have been unsuccessful many times thus, I just gave up on posting pics. I wish there were a simpler way of posting pics, I have a bunch more to share with everyone.

Lovey-
Thanks for your gracious compliment of my Combo. Interesting that you saw a similar ax for $2,500, which as you said, seems a bit high; recently, a music store owner in northern Virginia told me it was worth only about half that amount, which struck me as a bit low. My suspicion is that it would probably sell for somewhere in between those numbers -- perhaps $1,750-2,000. But then again, as we all know, resale is a crapshoot and if I sell it, it will go for what the traffic will bear in that time and place. Probably different here in the DC area than in upstate NY or elsewhere.
BRRanger-
If you're still trying to break the code on posting photos, I wanted to share my experience on PhotoBucket: I had no trouble uploading photos to the site, but where I got hung up was the "Share These Photos" link. Although the instructions here on the Mosrite site said to use the "IMG" link to post images, that didn't work for me. What eventually did work was the "Direct" posting option. Trial and error, but worked for me. Give that a try and let us know how you did.

Re: Exactly which Mosrite do I own?
Alrightey then PJ, I'll give that a try. Thanks for the tip!
Mid 2012 I was lucky enough to win a bid on a Combo (Red) from a Pawn Shop off Ebay...I believe it was under $1,200 and came with the original beautiful case, hang tags, Mosrite strap, cord, warranty card. The guitar is in stunning shape and must have been left in the case under someones inactive bed! This would be under the 1/2 price of $2,500...but think I just lucked out. I'd have paid much more if I saw this hanging on a guitar store wall.

Wow. Guess I'll need to pay closer attention to EBay, Scott. Good for you!
