Thank you to all of you Mosrite fanatics for making me welcome! The person I purchased my Mosrite from was NOT the orginal owner. I am trying to track back to see if I can locate the original owner!! Whoever it was knew very well how to take care of a great piece of history.
A little about me: I am 59 years old and an old rocker. I started playing guitar at 13 years of age while my Father was stationed in the Panama Canal Zone! First guitar and amplifier was an Aldens catalog order guitar and a Sear 2 twelve inch speaker amplifier! Anybody remember these? I was introduced to Mosrite in Columbus, Georgia (Ft. Benning) after returning form Panama. Played in a small Combo and our Lead guitar player bought a 1966 Ventures Mosrite just like the one I purchased last week.. Of course I had to go and purchase a Stratocaster in 1966 instead of a Mosrite!
Now, as stated above, I am 59 years old and my Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis has made it impossible to play very much at all! My fingers are so crooked I can barely pick! I don't feel bad though as I have this BEAUTIFUL Mosrite to look at everyday for the rest of my life!!
Pictures will be coming soon! If anyone would like to see my slide show of my Mosrite before I put pictures here please send me your email address in a reply!!!
Thanks again for making me welcome!!

Not so bad either, Lonnielonmax wrote:Of course I had to go and purchase a Stratocaster in 1966 instead of a Mosrite!

Many of us here are Strat fans too you know! Do you still have it (to keep friendly company with your Mosrite)?
