Nope, but I'm digging it! We didn't start getting any kind of cold weather until DEC.

. . .. and while repairing (and removing excess solder) I uncovered 6 digit pot codes on the back rather than the side. On the 60's 7 digit pots the 4th and 5th are the year but where is it on these 6 digit 70's pots? Can anybody give me an idea how to decode these please? Large print pot code is 504042. There is an additional smaller font size number "88 111 1" beneath (with spaces as shown).

Very nice guitar gman, congrats. Are you planning on installing the "tremelo" arm or just leaving it with the "hardtail" set-up? We'd like to see a picture now after you did your polish job on it!

Best answer I can find this-morning is:

That's standard Noble potentiometer numbering and has nothing to do with the exact age of the potentiometers. These numbers just say which one's 500K linear and which one's a 500K logarithmic pot.
tone pot #504042,
volume pots #504072

which confirms my thinking that this has been rewired at some point keeping the original pickups and switch but replacing pots and knobs (and adding some foil in the cavities).
