Speaking of Fred, I may have just confirmed the story of the spray painted Mosrite. Definitely no logo on that headstock and it looks a bit like a high school art project on the finish although the rest of it is a bit tough to see in the b/w pic.

And on the topic of Smiths! I Just saw Patti Smiths "Dream Of Life" film the other day. A pretty cool film if you're a fan.
In one short scene Jackson Smith shared stage with Patti and played "Gloria" i think.
And wow... It was a rush to see and hear.

But it is true. Jackson has indeed inherited his fathers abilities as a guitarist. He was playing some old beat up white strat, but the technique was there! The same effortlessly fluent style. It wasn't an imitation if his father, he still had something of his own. But you could still hear Fred between the notes.
Very very cool.
