Speaking of Fred, I may have just confirmed the story of the spray painted Mosrite. Definitely no logo on that headstock and it looks a bit like a high school art project on the finish although the rest of it is a bit tough to see in the b/w pic.

Yep! There it is =) Hehe. I kinda like the rough finish. I wonder how many Mosrites he owned.
I just saw this pic on the Fred "Sonic" Smith facebook fanpage minutes ago! Spooky...
Loads of great pictures there.

And on the topic of Smiths! I Just saw Patti Smiths "Dream Of Life" film the other day. A pretty cool film if you're a fan.
In one short scene Jackson Smith shared stage with Patti and played "Gloria" i think.
And wow... It was a rush to see and hear. :) The scene was very short, like a minute.
But it is true. Jackson has indeed inherited his fathers abilities as a guitarist. He was playing some old beat up white strat, but the technique was there! The same effortlessly fluent style. It wasn't an imitation if his father, he still had something of his own. But you could still hear Fred between the notes.
Very very cool.

HAHA, that's because I am the one behind that fan page! I've seen that Gloria clip, great stuff. I got to see Patti do a last minute intimate surprise show a few years ago too. That was pretty cool!

Thanks, and so yes, that was me talking about my Rick with humbuckers. I wasn't trying to sound like Fred talking from beyond the grave.

Haha! Sorry about that.
If I only knew you were the creator, then I wouldn't have written that.
It makes sense now. ;)
