and Mel! I totally didn't pay close enough attention, that was an awesome thread I over looked. wow!

There's a wealth of information on this forum, especially when it first started, and I think the vast majority that come late to the party jump in without looking back to see what all has already been discussed. They miss so much by not researching the various forums.

Welcome, Ron. What kind of a bridge does your Mo have? (Not the vibrato) Is it a roller bridge? And we'd all appreciate pictures of your Mo'. And FYI Mosrite Speed frets are about 22 thousandths tall, So I'm told. Thin strings are recommended when playing a Mo'. .10-.46s are the heaviest you should go with a 60s Mo for string bending.

Howdy, been away a bit. Its a roller bridge. I'm going to try to post a picture that was taken by the dealer before it was sold to me. I replaced the plastic toggle switch with a metal one that Andy Moseley was selling on ebay some time ago.

What a beauty!! Is the headstock in matching burst, or natural? Wasn't the plastic toggle a factory fit? :?

The headstock is natural with a Ventures logo (see pic below). Good question as to what is and isn't factory. As far as the toggle, the guitar was put together in Canada from what I was told by the dealer (myrareguitars-see earlier post). I thought the metal toggle with the bands made it look a touch more vintage. Couple of other things I noticed-at least one minor imperfection in the neck--very tiny indentation that could have been sanded out. I think the people who purchased the parts from Semie's factory didn't bother to finish the instrument the way Semie would have--they pretty much slapped them together. The pickguard also looks like it was hand cut a bit rough and probably could fit a bit better near the neck. I think the pickups are the real deal--just wish the instrument had the speed frets! (and it were one of Semie's gorgeous sunbursts--he could do them better than anybody)
