New Memeber

Postby chunners » Mon Jan 11, 2010 9:50 am

A friend of mine is a Mosrite nut. He turned me on to them several years ago and I'm hooked.
I usually play a Telecaster and/or a Jazzmaster in a Honky Tonk band here in Ventura, California.
I've used a Hallmark Sweptwing too.
I love the tones the Hallmarks and Mosrites get. Country....but not a Tele.
Surf...but more dirty than a Jazzmaster.
I'm into it.

Now I got to decide if I want to sell my Jazzmaster to try and get one of Bob's '59 Customs!

Welcome, chunners! I have a pearl white 60 Custom Hallmark - You won't regret getting one. Well worth the price. Enjoy the forum.

The Jazzmaster is quite a guitar icon; try to keep her if you can chunners ;) I have always regretted trading in my first electric, even if it was only a Fender Strat look-a-like. Welcome aboard!

Welcome to the forum, Chunners. I guess there are two Mosrite nuts in Ventura. Hey, make that three! We're expanding!

Hey Chunners, welcome.
As the owner of all three guitars you mention; a Tele, a Jazzmaster, and a Hallmark 60 Custom, I would keep the JM. All three guitars bring something different to the table--each it's own sonic colors.
Enjoy the forum. It's a great bunch of folks around here.

Welcome to the forum! I agree, all three guitars bring a different sound to the palette. Also, the Mosrite style vibrato has a significantly different feel and wider range than the Jazzmaster vibrato.
