Hey Surfdaddy,
I don't know what kinda trouble you got into at SG101 (musicians, like those in other fields of artisitic endeavor, tend to be...opinionated), but you sure have good taste in music. Welcome to the world of Mosrite!

thunderhead and strat-o-rama---thanks for your support. what i did at sg101 was my first experience with any forum. i'm on several other forums and have never been in trouble or asked to leave or been thrown off of 'em. i read sg101 almost every day and enjoy it but i won't go back. i don't need "dicey" in my life; being almost old is enough!!

so,here's to good times at the moritehouse!!!! i'm here to learn about mosrites. only saw a few in the 60's and if i remember right, i played one for about 5 minutes at zell's music in woodbridge, va. was definitely better than the kapa i had at the time!!

will be wandering in and out as i have questions. reading the forum every day or so until i get the feel of it.

love those small amps too, easy on the ears!!

Hey I really really love The Mermen. They really take surf to a new and original place.
A perfect blend of psychedelics and surf. on a side note anybody like/heard of The Silencers The Crusaders or Satan's Pilgrims?

hey brutus! i have heard of satan's pilgrims and heard a song or 2 on pandora. pretty cool! someone turned me onto the mermen a couple of years ago and they grabbed my attention immediately! i play them alot on my mailroute and get some funny looks! i'm a rural carrier and the stuff on the radio can be boring, so i make up a few cd's to listen to and you know---that car stereo can get really loud!

some of the 3rd wave surf is really great, glad to see the art form growing and evolving. you might want to check out daikaiju sometime.

is anyone using mosrites in 3rd wave surf? does anyone out there know??

Hey, this ol' guy took a listen to the Mermen...they really play cool! On a side note, isn't it cool too when someone points out a new band or sound that you can simply go to Myspace, Youtube etc. and get to hear the music immediately ...and order straight away if you want!
What a difference to the old days when you'd have to go to a record shop and hope they'd have the stuff you're lusting for in stock -or have even heard of it at all...

Thanx ;)

Garrett (Dr. Lehos) from The Ghastly Ones uses Mosrites as well as Brian (Star Crunch) from Man or Astroman. Both bands are worth checking out if you're a fan of modern surf.
