I do have a '77 Brass rail. Its one of my favorites. The neck is a amazing thanks to the brass rail down the center, the multiple layers of wood making up the fret board and of course the killer sound. The neck pick up is flipped (as with the '84 VIII)--I am sure someone here knows if there was a specific reason for that.


Will try to post some pictures here, once I get passed some technical difficulties.

Welcome, fellow Brass Rail fan! Looking forward to those pics.

By flipped I'm assuming you mean the logo on the pickup covers are upside down? This happens on all Mosrites from time to time. I think all it signifies is that during the monotony of winding pickups someone was daydreaming about doing something else.
