Deke Dickerson model buzzing

Postby Diggey » Fri Oct 21, 2016 11:25 am

i am having some weird note vibration related buzzing from my deke model I recently bought used. Seems to be when I fret around the 10-12th fret on the D and G strings. I took it to a luthier and he only looked at the neck and for high frets, which checked out as fine. However, they did not look at something being loose or rattling.

I know the pickups screws can be stripped easily. Is this a sign that they might be stripped and rattling? I remember another Mosrite Forum guy mentioning he had issues with stripping them and some sort of rattling but I can't find the post to verify if mine is similar. Does anyone recall or have experience? I'm going to attempt to pull them out and see if I can't isolate the issue but wanted to check with the forum first. Any help is appreciated.

I love the guitar but can't get the buzz to stop.

I answered your e-mail, get back to me and I will help you get rid of the buzz. After that you buy fuzz. :D

I emailed you back. It appears that it is buzzing on the d string up and down and is pointing to the roller on the bridge. I took everything Off one at a time, and pickups out and so forth and it's the only thing left so, what is the fix?

If the buzzing is only acoustic and not while plugged in I wouldn't sweat it.

It's being amplified.
