Mosrite Ventures II hand made pickups by Hallmark Guitars

Postby Bob Shade » Mon Apr 25, 2016 9:46 am

Hey gang!

It has been a while since I have posted anything about our hand crafted pickups. We just made a set of Ventures II pickups for a customer that wanted the exact materials that were used in making the originals in 1965. This requires the vintage breakaway bar magnets that Mosrite used in the 60's and 70's. I have a quantity of these magnets that cannot be found anymore. I purchased the remainder of the stock that Mosrite's supplier had years ago, and they said they would not be making more of them.

Here is a look at a few steps of the build up. Enjoy,

Very cool! Thanks for posting Bob! Pics are fine on my end too.

Have you ever thought of a career in hand modeling?

Sorry was watching Seinfeld reruns. ;)

Oh I see them now. Must have been an internet hiccup.

Marky, ok you talked me into it, I will quit guitar building now and focus on my hand modeling career

Perhaps D'Andrea would like me to hold a pick for a photo. The possibilities are endless.

Or maybe I will just keep that on the back burner.

Cheers, Bob
