In the new Guitar Player magazine, the "Whack Job" column features a Hallmark Swept-Wing owned by the guy who writes the column. It's Silver Sparkle, and has a replacement pickguard with cool sci-fi graphics. The column title notwithstanding, he has some good things to say about the guitar.

Thanks, Bob

Bob--it's in the new issue with a bunch of FX pedals on the cover. I just got my subscription copy yesterday, so I expect it'll show up on newsstands momentarily. Terry Carleton is the guy who writes that column, and he apparently bought it in 2010--he says he uses it all the time in his surf band.

This red Combo has been in the Hallmark shop recently. It was purchased on Craigslist from a guy in PA. It was in need for a good amount of repair. The neck was cracked by the heel, as well as bridge issues........stuff missing on it etc. I put a new Hallmark arm on the trem, and replaced the non original stuff with the NOS parts. The guitar went to the right guy, he loves the guitar now, and plays it regularly.

Thanks for the clip, I have not seen these guys play live yet.

Bob
