Any chance anyone has a sound clip of the 65 bass? Maybe Marky Kobane? Also can anyone post a photo of the side of the neck? I'm curious about the neck profile. I will be very appreciative. I hope I can someday be drooling on this instrument instead of my computer's keyboard.

I can do that. Do you want a sound clip of just the bass by it's self? Most of the newer stuff on our band camp has the bass in it.
The neck is very thin and easy to play! Worth every penny, even my metal head friends love this bass! Feels like a rick almost.

I hope this helps.
I used a Shure Beta 52a on my GK mbx cab.
The controls on my Ampeg STV 350 are all dead center.
Everything is dry, no compression or EQ in my DAW.
Each measure I changed the toggle position from bridge, mid, neck.
I am also using DR black beauties.

Thanks, Marky! I'm sold. Now I just need to sell the idea that I need another bass to my wife.

Marky, what was the first Kobanes' album you used the Hallmark bass on?

I've had my 65 custom since November. This bass is great. My bandmates knew nothing about Hallmark and were quite dubious about this bass. After hearing it, the only thing they don't like is the pearl white color I chose (we play hardcore punk). One of my bandmates thinks it's one of the best basses he's heard and told me I should spray paint it black. No way! I play the bass with only the bridge pickup which cuts through the mix well especially since our guitar player has active pickups on his guitar running through a JCM 2000. Playing both the neck and bridge gives the bass a nice growl which would probably sound great with a lot of other bands just not ours.
