Hallmark II Demo Video

Postby TriflerShawn » Tue Aug 07, 2012 9:38 pm

Ok....the wifey was away for a few hours so I did a quick demo of my Hallmark II.
Well, it's actually about 15 minutes long, so not really all THAT quick.

I mainly play it clean as I wanted to show the true character of the guitar. I do a bit of dirt at the end, and of
course do a few obligatory Ramones riffs. I'm playing through my Gretsch Executive amp, and using a few pedals
on my pedal board. My Nocturne Dyno Brain, Tim OD pedal, Flashback delay and Carbon Copy.

Still trying to get used to the neck. I love it, but it's a bit different than my usual Gretsch guitars, so it's taking a
bit to get comfortable with it. I apologize for the crappy playing, I haven't played some of those surf tunes in ages.
I'm surprised I remembered them.......... :D

Anyhow.......I hope this video gives you a better idea of what the Hallmark II can do. I dig it the most!

Great video, Thanks for it! There aren't many videos of the Hallmark II on Youtube.

See...this is why you should never drink a few beers before doing a guitar demo..
Can't believe I said Grady Martin played a Mosrite....it was a Bigsby guitar, dumbass!

Bob, I'll definitely be using it at our next show at the end of this month.
I'll make and get some footage. Can't wait to hear it in a full band situation!

That's great! Nice hearing somebody scour the tone landscape of the Hallmark II. I might have to get around to doing one a vid like this.

Thanks,
Eyan

That was definitely what I was trying to do.
It's an extremely versatile guitar, and I'm really pleased with it.

The Hallmark II..........it's not just for Ramones riffs........

If you have a set of Nickel Wound 10s on your Hallmark II could you please demonstrate how it sounds with the Mids and Bass off, The Treble all the way up and the Volume and Tone pots completely open? I'd like to hear how it sounds in Drop D too, If you don't mind. If you don't have a set of 10s on it then it's OK if you don't demonstrate it with these settings.
