It is a very special finish, isn't it? If I ever order a 60 Custom it may be in this finish. Something both Bob and Uncle Semie have in common is they're both masters of guitar finishes.

Edit: - Either Surf Pearl or an "Oranges and cream" Finish similar to this image.

Don't forget babe-magnets. Both are/were babe-magnets.

I for one really like the softer beveled edge on the treble side of the new Custom 60 .

I was really going for an orange color when I edited the picture. But yeah, I can see some red on the left side of the picture.

Yep! I'm going crazy--I've never flip-flopped this much on a new guitar. Today I called Bob Shade to change my order to a Surf Pearl. No problem doing that--thanks, Bob! BTW, he told me that the cases are on the way, and he's expecting them Monday, 2/22, if the weather co-operates, and he hopes to be able to ship guitars that week. Good news!

I may very well order a Surf Pearl one some time. I just want to get a 70s Mosrite first since the one I'm after rarely pops up.

Can't get the Surf Pearl out of my head! Watching the Olympics and the snowboarders doing the half pipe.....and noticed how the blue marking on the snow half pipe looked just like the fade from white to aqua to blue on the Surf Pearl guitar, lol......then a commercial came on and the colors were the same.......am I going crazy, or is it a sign? :? ......I don't really need any signs.....just a few more weeks....I can wait that long....... ;)

Cool Surf Pearl color Bob  ...keep up the good work! I have a funny feeling I'll be placing an order in the next few months! Looks like it'd be a nice match to my homebrew blue amp.

Quick note, just a heads up.

We only have about 10 Surf Pearls left in stock. If you want one it may be a good idea to grab one while they are available!
