Hallmark Guitars at NAMM 2010

Postby Bob Shade » Sat Jan 16, 2010 12:06 am

Hello from sunny Ca!

Just a quick report note for the forum. Hallmark Guitars has a booth at winter NAMM 2010 and pulled the real 1966 TV show Batmobile into their booth to promote the new line of guitars!!

NAMM voted Hallmark Guitars in the top 20 booths to see out of thousands of booths attending! We are beside ourselves!

Also is a featured image of our booth on the front page of the NAMM 2010 website!! Just click on the the Hallmark booth thumbnail and you can see a clearer shot of our booth and the New Hallmark Guitars. http://www.namm.org/thenammshow/2010

Featured Hallmark artists playing at the booth are Larry Collins, Deke Dickerson, John Spazz Hatton on bass, and alot of great players just passing by. Elaine also stopped by and did some Travis picking on a Hallmark Deke Dickerson model. We have heard that Deke footage can be seen on Youtube of him playing inside the Batmobile in the booth already! That was too much fun.........( Deke, you are not a well man ) George Barris is also on hand and joining in on the event.

We hope to see forum members at the Geekfest tomorrow night! Don't be shy and please come by and say hello and chat!

More news at eleven. Reporting from Anaheim Ca.

:D Yeah!! Thank you, NAMM, for posting the pic of the Hallmark booth, and thank you, Bob Shade, for linking to it! I've been wanting to see a pic of Surf Pearl since it was announced on this forum, and, lo and behold, there's a Surf Pearl 60 Custom hanging in the booth. A close-up shot would be even cooler, but I'm not complaining--I've got a real good idea of what that finish looks like now. I just need to decide what color I'm going to get my 60 Custom in--it's down to three, and Surf Pearl is one of them. The booth looks great--wish I could have gone. And Deke's Guitar Geek Fest sounds like it'll be a gas! I've got the DVD's from a couple of the past ones--looks like a great time was had by all! Have fun, y'all!

I just ordered mine this week in 3 tone burst. I already have one in Candy Apple Red that I bought in like new condition. What I'm thinking about is changing the pots and caps in the red one to give it a different sound. Am I crazy to have two???
Gear:
Hallmark 60 Custom Three-tone burst
Hallmark 60 Custom Candy Apple Red
Wilson Brothers VM-65 Black Sparkle
Line 6 Spider IV 120 w/shortboard
Line 6 Pocket Pod

Please note that Bob did not send the photo showing him standing next to the Batmobile in his cute Batman costume.

I wanted to go, but I couldn't find a Robin costume in 4XL.
