I did it I order a Hallmark 60 Custom

Postby jtr654 » Thu Sep 17, 2009 6:33 pm

Yes after chasing down everyone I knew that might still have a Mosrite Mark 1 or Doubleneck JM . (none of them had one for years) The universal thing each and everyone of them said that they loved the look ,pickups, the trem but the neck was a STRUGGLE to deal with. So I called Bob Shades and asked him the dimension of his necks 1&5/8" by 7/8" and I order it right then.(what a great person to deal with I hope he sell a Million of his Guitars) I'll give you a review when I get it. The real klinker is I had to used my Wifes paypal account so sneaking it into the house was not a option. She ask me why I needed another guitar( I only have 30+) and I told her it had a unique shape and different pickups and trem than any of my other guitars and she bought it.So it should be here on Monday the 9/21/09. Thanks to all for great reviews on this forum. John.

Hey, John--

You will love the guitar! Please tell us what color you ordered.

I got the fire-sparkle burst a couple of weeks ago and it is just a joy to play and hear, even with me playing it!

Congrats!

Congrats! You will have no regrets - these are excellent guitars, and you're right - Bob Shade is a pleasure with whom to do business.

John, if you just got that in the last week or so, I played (or held) that guitar for a minute before Bob packed it! He said, "Do not get fingerprints on it," but I had to strum a chord.

Wow, that is a BEAUTY!!! It may have been another white one that Bob was shipping, but I couldn't believe how nice that guitar looked.

You lucky rascal!

You are in for the surprise of your life. The quality of these guitars is exceptional. You can literally put the Custom under a magnifying glass and not find a flaw. As much as I enjoy playing it, I can still sit there and just admire it forever. Christmas in September sound good. Oh, and the alligator case is killer all by itself.
Happy Monday !!!
