Cool Marky! Love the sound you guys have, prob the closest to the Ramones I've heard over the years but with added "whoomph!!". So sad to hear the Tommy Ramone is no longer with us
My little experiment putting the DiMarzio Super D humbucker into the bridge of the 60C worked out... so-so! As I kinda thought, the sound is kinda "muffled" as the output is slightly muted under a plastic cover. Was worth a shot I guess coulda put in without the plastic cover but looked a bit odd in the cavity.
So I've decided to tinker a little more and give Hallmark's new humbuckers a go - but I've asked Bob if its possible to have it with ceramic mag / wound to try and match the "Fat Pig". Will let you all know how I get on
By the way, I do love the sound of the original pickup in the 60C, just for the type of music we play (high gain, heavy / bottom-endy & low mids) it wasn't quite cutting through for me. Otherwise perfect though in case anyone thinks I'm putting them down!!!
