Nope, no relation but that's where I got it from. My last name is Tucciarone and I am often referred to as Tooch so it's a bit of a play off of the El Duce thing.
Holy smokes! I didn't expect you to know who the Mentors were let alone El Duce. That's so crazy. They were certainly 1 of a kind band. I hear they still play out live, even tho their singer is dead.
I guess I'm a bit of a young 'un on here at 38 but yeah, I know The Mentors, and GG, the East Coast original. I am somewhat ashamed to admit that I only own one Mentors record though. GG's band still plays around here all the time and his brother Merle is out and about still too.
Well, I did it--pulled the pin on a Hallmark 60 Custom. After pulling my hair out trying to decide on a color, I went with good old 3-tone sunburst. Surf Pearl is different, and looks cool in the NAMM Show pics--I've loved White Pearl with the tortoise guard ever since I bought the Ventures On Stage album back in the '60's, and I sure like the Sunset Sparkleburst too--but every time someone posts a pic of that 3-tone burst, I just drool. That's the classic look on these guitars anyway, in my opinion. I'll post some pics when I get it. It'll be a couple of weeks--apparently they're out of cases right now, but Bob S. told me he'd have more in two weeks or so, and I'm not letting him ship it without a case!
