That's exactly what hauled me over to buy my Sunburst from Bob. On the day of my first visit to the Hallmarkguitars website I knew it! I GOTTA HAVE!...and now I HAVE :P

Last wednesday took it for an outing when we had a little practice/fun session going with our former band's drummer and rhythm guitarist -unfortunately no bass player. I loved my Hallmark so much for giving me that "Nokie feeling" when I played a handful of Ventures songs on it...the drummer has now requested (more like demanded  ) we do much more of that Ventures stuff!!
(...sorry Shadows fans...and I'm one too!)

I was just thinking last night that sometimes the hardest part of my day is when I have to put the Hallmark back in the case for the night.
That neck and sound want me to keep playing, and that beautiful sunburst needs a few minutes of quiet admiration befor the case closes.

Hello Veenture,
I'm guessing that I'm not alone in my thinking.
That guitar is hard to put away, even in that great alligator case.

Those last few comments have given me the courage to ask this question: does anyone else—like myself—become so smitten with a new guitar that they can't go off to work in the morning without taking one last peek at it?
Please somebody back me up!
Bill.

Absolutely :!: :!: Or go to bed at night without one more peek :!: :!: I have been married for a number of years but life as a travelling musician changed our sleeping habits. We sleep in seperate rooms, we both rest much better that way. I stated all that to say this, my room is Guitar Central :!: :!: Seven on the wall and five on the floor :!: Ten Amps and tons of pedals, Guitar books and magazines. What a bedroom :!: :ugeek: Sorry for drifting from the topic  I love my Hallmark :!: :!: :!:

I did take off early the day after my Hallmark arrived. I was doing OK untill I saw that picture of gplayers guitar, and the strat-o-rama red beauty. I just couldn't take it any more.
I can't say that I have done this with any of my other guitars. Maybe it was because I thought that I would never own a Mosrite or anything like one. I waited for almost 45 years for this guitar and I plan on enjoying it to the best of my capability. And yes, that last look at night or before I leave in the morning does consume some time, but you only live once, right.
I'm thinking of how I might get Mr. Shade to sign it. Does that sound pretentious or what?

Thunderhead: I would love to have a room like your's but my daughter keeps bringing home stray kittens. I don't want one of them thinking the Hallmark (or any of my other guitars) is a scratching post. And I wish that I had a Mosrite in my collection. Probably won't happen. But you have treasures there and I'm sure you appreciate them. I can give you my address if you ever decide to go on a strictly Fender diet. Or I could drop by .......

I work out of my house. My office where I work is the same room where my 5 Mosrites hang on the wall. Barely an hour goes that I don't take one down & play. I usually keep a Mosrite pugged in & my acoustic Martin down & just turn the chair around & grab whichever one I feel like grabbing.

I'm shocked I get anything done at all. & If I get an idea for a song, forget it! They lost me for a good hour.
In order of purchase:
1) Mosrite Ranger
2) V88
3) Stereo 350
4) Hallmark II in Johnny Blue
5) Danelectro '66
6) Celebrity III
7) Hallmark Gospel
8) Serenade
9) Eastwood 300
