Thanks for the update Bob - I'll hope to try one down the road.

BTW, here I am playing a surf gig with one of your C60s:

hey Bob,

is it possible to get one with a copy of the original mkII trem? that's the kind of trem I been waiting for on these guitars. i'd be willing to pay an upcharge for that if you could do it.
thanks,
Cheers,
Aaron

I could do it sure, but why? We put the Hallmark die cast trem on it because of its outstanding performance and great look. I was going to re-create the folded sheet metal tailpiece, but then I decided that would be a mistake. It never came to life for a reason in the 60's.

The folded sheet metal one is not very good. I know it looks original but if it did not come on the Ventures II's I have in my collection, I would replace them. In short, a pro would never use that tailpiece.

If you have to have the original "Hunk A Mute" version let me know, I can hand bend one and send it out for plating. It will boost the price of the guitar as you may suppose.

Thanks, Bob

I'm not a big trem user anyway, so it would just be for the look more then anything.

I sent you a PM Bob thanks for your response.
Cheers,

Loving the cherry burst - a finish I normally don't like on the usual Gibson-alikes, but it looks fantastic here!

The black is my favorite, though. Too tough, too classy!
