Re: Hallmark II Sheena model
What are eights? Remember guys, I didn't start playing until I was 33 yrs old & I've never had a lesson in my life. If this is some music theory thing, I have no clue what it means. That's my question. Because if his question is a valid critisism, although the delivery was rather kirt, it would be considered.

That's what the man said. He doesn't seem to approve of your left-hand muting either. You'll have to work that out with your Ramones brethren.

. I had the bridge pickup only on & I play thru a Fender board & amps.
It's "OK" to practice thru a Fender, as long as it's a Silver Face Vibro Champ, which is what Johnny used to warm up before shows. Now plug it in to a Marshall 1/2 stack and let it do it's thing. I have an original slab VenturesII, the only good sound I ever got was thru a 100 watt Marsahll into Greenbacks.
BTW, guitar looks great, thanks for the video.

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what valve driven means. Is that a really big concert looking thing?

Re: Hallmark II Sheena model
Hey,
I think what he meant was that almost all Ramones tunes were in 4/4, and often times the guitar and bass played 8th notes to the progression. as for example, on blitzkrieg bop, the chord progression is A, D,E. the correct amount of times you play each note before the chord change is 8, 4, 4, because the d to e chord progression is the same length in time as the whole A chord. This is the cd version.
Now most of the time johnny played 8,2,1. on this chord progression live to make the e chord stand out more, and both versions is actually played on the first cd. remember Johnny recorded several guitar tracks on the cd.
Don't worry if you screw up a little, it takes years to master this and be able to play like this subconsciously, not to mention that you were playing without a drummer! I probably would be screwing up a little too.
One little hint also, is play with a lot of GAIN!. because it covers up any screw ups you might play, and even if you do, who cares! ITS PUNK RAWK!
On the tuner thing, generally the tuner should have the A note set to 440. if it's higher at A, then you're might be tuning to a blue note.
here's some videos. it really shows how the Ramones got even faster as they got older!
