Yes, the vibrato arm and rocker are simply held in place by the string tension.

As a result when you change the strings the arm and rocker fall off in your hand. Not the best vibrato in the world especially when putting new strings on, but it does work and seems to stay in tune.

I can just imagine Johnny completely hating this vibrato as he was changing strings. He never used it the bar anyway. We will offer this vibrato as an option in 2010, stay tuned..........well gutarists should always stay tuned right?

We have no plans to alter the vibrato design, it seems to work well enough so having said that, unless we see a need to, there will not be any modifications. I would imagine thats what players and collectors would want.

Will there be any modifications to the bridge plate though, I was wondering if I could switch between the vibrato and Tune O Matic style stop tail easily? It's something I'd prefer to have, I'm not going to be using the vibrato all of the time but it's good to have it.

if you wanted to quickly change the tremolo to a not tremolo, simply replace the trem spring with a wood dowel. not exactly a pretty fit, but fast and easy and requires no mods

same principal by blocking a tremolo block with a wood wedge on a strat to make it a non trem...
