I'm down for one. I personally like the design just as you've described, including the mistake plate and "modern" fretboard design. It would be cool if the pickup covers were the rounded corner style as pictured in Danny's post above.
My only concern would be the bridge creating a binding pointing in the saddle notches (is that what you call them?) that would cause the guitar to go out of tune when using the tremolo.
Look forward to pics of the prototype.

I have had a number of people comment on my 60 Custom and get wide eyed when I tell them that a new model is coming out that will resemble the Sidejack. One question comes up, though. Is the 60 Custom or the future 50 Custom, going to be available for left handed players? I know of a lot of left handed guitar players. I'm left handed myself, but play right handed.

thats funny that you say that, cuz a lefty that plays right handed. my personally feeling is semie would have probably made lefty models if someone had asked, so should hallmark. 8-)

in many ways hallmark is the closest thing to a current american made mosrite.

pretty cool. you don't see too many lefty mosrites around. almost looks like a regular strat played up side down, haha
