Great innovations - kind of what Semie did with the later bridges in threading the tops of the bridge pins, and using acorn nuts to stabilize them.

Re: Hallmark 60 Custom - roller bridge rattle help
Exactly Dennis. Most of my Mo's have the threading on the top side of the bridge pins along with the acorn nuts.
I checked with Andy a while back and he had told me that he unfortunately no longer has these later bridge pins.
So I still have 3 Mo's without these later pins......

make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

Re: Hallmark 60 Custom - roller bridge rattle help
I was just curious -if the bridge on the H60-C is not supposed to rock, why does Bob make it so it does ('cause it definitely does) He could easily design it like arpsum's set up -so why doesn't he?
Are you there, Bob?

Re: Hallmark 60 Custom - roller bridge rattle help
In the past, I tried to make an original sustain plate for H60C. This was built for stable tuning and good sustain. This was so good for me, but not for others. Because I couldn't adjust the height of the bridge. As you know, Alembic guitar also had the same plate in the body. This is just for your reference. Arpsum

Re: Hallmark 60 Custom - roller bridge rattle help
We originally made the bridge to lock down on the first Hallmark prototypes but found the bridges work better free floating. We really don't have any tuning issues so why change it.
Thanks, Bob

Re: Hallmark 60 Custom - roller bridge rattle help
Thanks Bob, that's pretty much what I figured. I must say, I have had no tuning issues or rattles on mine. I didn't even realize the bridge floated until I started reading all this, & then checked mine -sure 'nuff, it moves! I have had the unravelling e-string problem, though. It certainly seems to me as if going to all that trouble to stop the bridge from rocking, is a matter of overanalyzing, over engineering, and just in general, getting a bit carried away.

I'll upload the dimensional drawing of bridge plate just for your reference. Although the size was drawn by metric, you can easily translate.
