Bill initially made that guitar for himself, but when Bob and John and I were last up there he mentioned that it was for sale. It has a thick, hollow body and is lightweight and resonant. And it sure is purdy (I know Deke agrees). Who knows, maybe someone will go up to the Gruggett show at Trout's next week and come home with a new toy?

Hey Gplayer,
That switch activates a sound chip that has a hot rod engine revving up. You can hear it in the Hallmark Presentation/Whistlebait youtube video of the Collins Kids.

The Gruggettcaster is a beauty. Is that a humbucking blade pickup in the neck position? I bet that guitar can cover a lot of bases with a wide range of tones, from biting tele twang to smooth jazz
