Very impressive to watch! I'd hate to hear how much one of those might cost!!

that was endlessly fascinating. i have been reading up on tubes/valves in the last couple of weeks. nice to know what goes into making one. i love all the equipment involved. i'm assuming he is making these for some purpose. if it's not in the text, what would these be used for? vintage radios?

Very cool. In the text it says "radioameteur", which as you might imagine, loosely translates to amateur radio enthusiast. So yes, I'm assuming these would be made for vintage radios. I would imagine that tube radios use very different tubes from what the typical guitar amp uses.

radio in good condition can bring in a lot of money these days in the antique market. we have one in our store from the 1930's, with it's original tubes.
