Hey--

I'm noticing that I'm not the only one in my circle of guitar-playing pals who is getting away from heavy amps. I thought it was just me for a while there.

I have a friend who got rid of his really clean silverface Twin Reverb because it weighed so much. He loved that amp and it sounded great but he just couldn't deal with how heavy it was.

Me too. I loved my Hot Rod Deluxe but it took both hands to pick it up and I have difficulty just loading it in the back of the car. I was worried about dinging it so decided it was too much amp for 99% of my needs. I sold it and bought a Vox AD15Vt that I love. My next move will be a Vox Night Train with a cab that I can handle.

People laugh at me when I bring my ancient little Pig Nose amp to jams but it has never hurt my back yet.
