Mel, guess what...I just snagged a brand new RE-20 from the ebay waters and I'm looking forward to getting aquainted- and hoping to strike up good relationship with it ;)
I don't care how it digitally generates the old RE-201 sounds...I can tweak it in the old and trusted analog way ;) . Yes, I even prefer analog dials and knobs on a car radio (digital or other), so as the driver can operate it blindfolded, if necessary :D

I just recently bought a Strymon el Capistan echo pedal, based ona 5-star review in Premiere Guitar - still learning the ropes, but unlike any other delay I've had (my fav to now has been my Chandler rack mount) - reproduces the nuances of the old tape echoes ... down to the wear and tear on the tape, sound-on-sound, etc.!
