NOKIE EDWARDS California tour with Deke & Venturesmania--May

Was at the Casbah last night. Small but appreciative audience. Nokie is a treasure. The sound of 100% mosrites and 100% showmans was amazing. Deke was fantastic as well. My favorite was House of the Rising Sun, no Pipeline, maybe 5-0, wipe out, it was all great!

Was at the Joe's show in Burbank. Great stuff. My ears are still ringing.

Has Nokie's picking attack always been thumb pick with index and middle fingers? I didn't realize he plays sort of a hybrid style.

And yes...the gentleman with the huge head and fro was right in front...with camera....literally sticking a camera in Nokie and or Deke's face...INCHES in some instances. Too Classic. SAME GUY.

Yellow jacket and Journey To The Stars were great.

Nokie is doing one more show on June 2 in Santa Cruz. Its billed as "Nokie Edwards and The Hitchhikers" but my dad said its actually going to be The Outer Edge, same band that backed him in Santa Cruz last year. Don Quixote's Music Hall.
