Mosrite Bridge And Fretboard Radius

Postby MozRite » Tue Aug 29, 2017 8:26 pm

I see people saying that the Hallmark bridge drops and fits perfectly with Mosrite guitars. Not sure who and why anyone is removing their vintage Mosrite bridges for a Hallmark bridge but maybe some have vintage Mosrites that a previous owner removed the bridge and replaced with a tune-o-matic or something. Also on the Bay there are some replacement bridges. Actually last year on Reverb a blue Mark V with non-original bridge was sold for under $2,000. I think like $1,700 or something. That would be a candidate for a replacement like a Hallmark bridge or the one on the Bay. Not exact copies but I think they fit.

Thru my research I see these bridges are 9.5 radius but vintage Mosrites are 7.25 radius. I don't see people commenting on this math equation so to speak. How does the flatter radius of the bridge and the rounder radius of the fretboard all add up and workout? no one mentions this for some reason. Please advise. I don't have a Mosrite proper but I have a Zen-On Morales.
