Bill Gruggett Acoustic

Postby tbiz » Sun Jun 25, 2017 10:15 am

I just acquired an original Bill Gruggett acoustic. The gentleman I acquired it from said he bought it directly from Bill, and it is perhaps the last acoustic he built. It is dated 06/19/2008 and hand signed by Bill.

I have attempted to find other acoustics made by Gruggett, but to no avail. It appears to be a clone of the Mosrite Serenade, but with a set neck. Gorgeous guitar with amazing tone and playability.

Any help in formulating a value for this beauty would be greatly appreciated.

I visited Bill when he was building that guitar. I could not believe how nice it was. Bill could build anything. Thanks for sharing the photo's. That is a nice find.

-- I have a set neck Serenade. It is a great little guitar. This beauty looks amazing! I also own a handful of Bill's guitars. I have been watching it on Reverb.com since you posted it, and due to the asking price, I will continue to watch, with great interest. Best of luck with the sale!

-- I see that the price has been reduced, but not enough! I've got an idea of what I'd spend on this guitar, if you ever find yourself in or anywhere near near St Louis please let me know I'd make you a cash offer worth considering. Thanks! -Stevie
