Hello All.
The Truss Rod in my Ventures bass seems to be 'floating' in the channel. I was able to push the rod completely out of the channel, through the bottom of the neck, and it appears to function properly... I suppose my problem is figuring out exactly how the rod gets anchored into the channel. Any ideas? Is it time for a replacement? Any recommendations? Thanks.

The truss rod floats in the channel. It is not anchored which is great because it is easily removable for repairs. Have a look around the forum or use the search feature for truss rods. There are several pictures and various bits of information that should help you.

Ah! So the curvature of the tightened rod holds it in place. What a relief!
Thanks again.
